Drooling over book...

I just received the copy of Ansen Dibell's Le soleil du grand retour that
aliettedb secured for me from a French vendor. Woot! (And thanks so much
aliettedb!)
The book itself is in good condition, the translation apparently one that I shouldn't have too much trouble with. I've just been skimming through it. (This is what makes me work so hard with Le mort du necromant, the translator was a different one than the one who translated Chasseurs des sorciers.) Anyhow, I think I'll put the Wells book aside for now so I can start working through this one tonight.
I read the intro, which ends: Ansen Dibell, nous le savon, est un auteur qui est loin d'avoir tout dit. How very sad, because it turned out to be her last book published.*
The illustrations are terrifyingly wrong for the type of writing Dibell did. Very anime-looking pictures inside the book. Not appropriate at all. Tsk-tsk...
