j_cheneyI spent three hours today driving from SuperWally to SuperWally trying to find the hostess gift for the shower on Sunday. Finally found the stoneware, but nothing local carries the flatware. Settled for kitchen accessories to round out the gift amount.
Among my other errands, I purchased prescription dog food for Mr. Loki. In the last two years it has crept up from $54 for the big bag to $80 a bag. This is getting ridiculous. I need to monitor how long it takes the beast to go through a bag. I haven't really tracked that before, so it might not seem as bad once I determine a daily cost. Of course, we don't want to go through dog surgery again, so we can't just feed him Ol'Roy. ::sighs::
Yesterday I was exhuasted. Last night I read some and then slept like a ton of bricks. No WIP work done, but I needed the rest. Will be working tonight. Yay!
Perhaps a con post tomorrow ;o)

Date: 2009-04-29 01:09 am (UTC)Only, I had the same issue with Sunset, and then the place I got his special food closed, and he couldn't tolerate another brand. Different Vet told me ordinary cat food would suffice, provided it followed certain guidelines (in this case, less than 3% ash.) Turned out there was a Dad's cat food that worked for him. Cut the cat food bills by 80%, and he's healthier than ever.
Not saying you could be so lucky with Loki (doesn't Loki make his own luck?) but it might be worth checking into.
