Silly Club/Contract lingo...
Mar. 6th, 2008 09:41 amSo, I've officially been made a member of the "Silly Club"

My flash story First Day Jitters has been accepted for the Silly Anthology "Strange Worlds of Lunacy". Most people who know me actually know I have no sense of humor, so it was a stretch for me....
This is a reprint (with some modifications suggested by teh editor). I firmly believe my progeny should go out there and get multiple jobs. Two of my previous publications, A Hand for Each which appeared in the Shimmer Pirate Issue and The Stains of the Past which appeared in The Sword Review, are currently out trying to earn some money at Anthology Builder.
Touching the Dead (the only other story I've had in print so far) remains at home, not earning a cent.
I'm not entirely certain of the terms of my contract. It has a clause which says "The Story shall be included in the electronic magazine.....and one or more anthologies of stories and articles from BU." So, not First Anthology Rights and not exclusive either, but I'm going to wait a bit until I feel more comfortable, since I'm not now. They also publish an annual "Best of" for the e-mag, but I suspect my little story didn't make that cut. I haven't heard anything, and the Antho is due to be out in July. Oh well...I'll let this story free-load for a bit longer, and then perhaps kick it out the door!
