Odds, not so good...

Well, 50 people applied for the 12 or so slots at Launchpad, so I figure my chances aren't all that good. I'm not going to sweat it, as August and September months are not planned out for me yet. (We're still waiting to find out when the WOTF workshop will be held, so I haven't finalized any plans for cons this fall except for Conestoga. I have hotel reservations for others, but no memberships yet. Limbo...)

I'm still having trouble ending D5, just staring at the screen and wondering 'how long do I drag it on?'. Hate that.

I'll work on getting the others ready to go out to their first venues today instead. Perhaps the answer will just 'come' to me.

The Big 5-0

Yep, my 50th submission is sitting on the floor next to me, all gussied up in an envelope. I've officially hit the big 5-0...or will when I get to the post office, I mean.

It's D2.5 going out, with a rather odd name that I really like, but editors will probably hate and ask me to change.

D1 is waiting for a window to open, and I want to get a crit on D2.
D3? Haven't picked my market yet.
D4? Still thinking. I actually want to send this to the same place as D1.
The ending of D5 still eludes me, but I see light at the end of the tunnel--in the form of novel outlining--beckoning to me.

ETA: I should clarify that this is my 50th short story submission since 10/05, when I started submitting.
