Social Week-end/Tough Plot Bunny
Feb. 2nd, 2008 10:17 amGoing out to lunch with the in-laws today to catch up on things (we meant to go a week ago except for our out-of-town visitors). We got invited to a SuperBowl party, which is the first time we've been invited to one since we moved here. In Lubbock, we went to the same one every year, ate nachos, watched the commercials. This year I don't particularly care who wins, so the commercials should be the high point. We'll see.
I only got about 700 words on The Dragon's Intended as I am still struggling with a couple of plot-points. The plot bunny is kicking my butt. The villian is actually a spiteful wizard's daughter...whose curses are clumsy because her father died before really teaching her much. She thinks she knows what she's doing but is in way over her head. But I don't want you to feel sorry for her even though my protag J does (because of the baby). So I'm dealing with a story with a fairly ambivalent-feeling and open-ended ending. ::sighs::
I figure I can give that some careful consideration between commercials tomorrrow. ;o)
