Aug. 16th, 2007 06:17 pmWell, I've got Persistence of Vision/Point of View about ready to go out. A couple of more passes and I'll put it in an envelope. Not sure where it's going, because it's too long for that special Interzone issue, but I'll think of something.
Got down 4.8K of the October story done last night--with the full realization that I'm going to be chopping a couple of scenes for the first draft version. I'll keep working on that tonight.
I've almost decided to make a run with The Devil in the Details--kind of work on it part time while I'm re-writing The White Queen. I would love to market DitD to Luna, as it might be right up their alley....it even has only one POV, and she's female. Of course, I would have to finish it first, which means working on it in the background. I worked on the outline some on Tuesday, and think I've got a good start on that.
The medical school scene at the beginning of DitD is one of my all-time favorites (I read from it last year at World Fantasy Con at the BU reading.) It gets the dead body right out there in the first scene. And as everyone knows, it's all about the dead bodies.
