Well, I'm on day two of trying to get the first draft of Sins of the Fathers done, and I'm on page 295. (So technically, I'm killing at Nano, right?)

So far, I've read through everything I had sitting in the file, and it looks OK. True to my usual first-draft-form, it's pretty much just the action and the dialog, so far setting and characterization are somewhat absent.

Esther is coming off as horribly petulant (as she should be) which I will probably need to tone down. A few of the story arcs need to be more properly curved, and I've discovered that my shortened time table in the story needs to be stretched just slightly. I'll have to work on that, but it looks like the story will need to cover 7 months, not just four (still far better than the original 16). Actually makes little difference as far as the story outline goes.

I need to glance through some of the later scenes that are already written, tweak my outline a bit, and plunge into the last 300 pages. I think this one, because the time-line is particularly clear in my mind, will go much faster.

Perhaps even the end of the year. Wouldn't that be cool--so I think I'll aim for that. Must go read now....
