I decided that the skirt I made didn't look right with the jacket (It happens sometimes, you just cut your losses when it does). I stopped by David's Bridal today and found a 'cabernet'-colored taffeta bustle skirt with attached crinoline.


I don't know how to make that model twice as wide, but you can just use your imagination. Oh, add copious freckles, and short, red hair. And the jacket if it's cool (banquets always start off cool, and by the end everyone's baking).

If the airline (whichever they choose....I don't know because they haven't bought the frelling air-line tickets yet!) As I was saying, if the airline looses our luggage with tux/skirt/corset in it, you will definitely hear about the bloodshed in Malibu!

I've determined that the tomato worm was carried into my yard by one of the many birds. After researching on-line, I've found that hollyhocks aren't all that attractive to them (although the squash beetles seem to like them.)

I have an odd charge on my credit card. I hate leaping through the hoops that it takes to fix something like that, but it has to be done. (It's only $60, and it is possible that I made the charge. I just don't remember ever doing so, nor do I have any record of it, so I want to see paperwork.)

It happens on the sewing. The real trick, I think, is knowing when to cash in your chips. You can keep ripping out seams and re-doing them, but eventually you'll have far more hours in a garment than it's worth.
