Book Basket/New Year's Stuff

I've got 3 books completed, a fourth started, and one I've decided to cast aside (under the 'life's too short to put up with several hundred pages of this' clause). One of the new ones arrived in the mail and is safely ensconced in the basket.
I'll get back to writing today, and I'm going back to working on the sequel to "Dreaming Death". I'm only abut 300 pages in, and it begins to look frighteningly like a 700 pager....must cut words!! (OR find a way to divide it neatly into two books, which IS doable, but would unabashedly mean duology....of which I'm not fond). This means I have to sit down and re-read everything I've written, since I haven't actually touched it in almost a year.
I do intend to finish "Devil in the Details" this year as well, but I'll put it aside for a bit. It will probably be the shortest novel I've written so far, possibly coming in at less than 100K.
displacedtexan and I decided to celebrate New Year's with Sydney and Melborne again, so it's done and over with (at 8AM). No further need to party for us. (Clearly, we aren't party animals)
