What is it with me and snakes....

So, I'm coming around a tree laden corner of the jogging path and...um, there's a snake just lying on the path, sunning itself.

Yeah, you just run around them...

It was actually one of the smaller snakes I've seen there, only took up about half the road, maybe 3 feet? 2.5 feet?

I've only ever seen one snake, here in the wilds of suburban Philadelphia, and it was cool as hell. Not as cool as a cobra, though.

We see plenty of snakes in Oklahoma, I even have had a couple of garters around the house. (On living in the front flower bed, on one the side. They're harmless, but they certainly scare the bejeezus out of you when they suddenly move)

I have a record of seeing 3 snakes at the park in one day....but two of those were 7 footers, at least. Went home that day very creeped out!
