Authonomy

I've been doing housecleaning tasks (writerly ones) and updated my stuff at BU, checked the Webboard at Baen's, formatted a couple of stories for Anthology Builder, and prepped a query.

And I spent some time looking over Authonomy. This is Harper Collin's equivalent of an open slush pile.

Has anyone tried this out? Any thoughts?

Book Basket

Well, my book basket is, as always, full.

I have a few left semi-completed from last year, as well as a few untouched.

Non-fiction?
I removed DNA in a tacit admission that I'm not going to read it, just keep it as a reference book. I'm currently supposed to be reading Beneath the Metropolis, but I'm really re-reading Martha Wells The Fall of Ile-Rien trilogy (since I just got fresh copies, and the writing is better.) On Killing is still in the basket.
Added new:
Storyteller by Kate Wilhelm
Head Cases by Michael Paul Mason
What's Next by Jane Buckingham

Fiction?
I still have to finish the last two stories in Clockwork Phoenix, and a handful in The Penguin Book of Vampire Stories. I've not yet started The Lone Star Stories Reader, but I'm pretty sure that will be a straight up winner.
Left over from last year, I have:
Valley of the Soul and Threads of Malice by Tamara Siler Jones.
Added new:
Heaven's Bones by Samantha Henderson
Reiffen's Choice by S. C. Butler
Lachlei and Serpent Singer by M.H. Bonham
Agents and Adepts by Kathryn Sullivan

I am never going to get caught up....
