A process note:
That scene I scribbled out in the outline? Then said I would probably put it back in?

I wrote it, took it out and saved it elsewhere, and just now stuck it back in.

Indecision....a normal part of the process for me.

It's worse for the Aquarius, because she, impulsive creature, just deletes the unwanted parts. She used to, rather, until she learned to save everything.

Ha! I'm doing the exact same thing right now, except that I'm stealing something from my very first draft...

It's really fun when your editor says take it out, then tells you to put it back in, then her boss comes along and says take it out. Oh yes it is!

Thank heavens for computers where we can save earlier versions and excised text....

Nothing is ever deleted. It's just moved to the file marked "Things I took out" and saved for another day...

Now I'm trying to write this very short Christmas story, having just finished a novel, and not make exploding turkeys a factor in the plot! :)

(Please tell me these are exploding cooked turkeys)

Exploding Frozen Turkeys could be pretty lethal...

Oy! Too much Dr. Who!

Ah, I was picturing exploding live turkeys, which would be messy. Not that exploding frozen turkeys wouldn't...but I'd rather clean up after the latter. ;o)

Seems that that's part of the creative process.

Now you read it, now ya don't!

What I hate is when I've cut something out, gone through multiple drafts, and realized at the end of it all that I've written back in something almost identical to what I cut out originally. Boo!

Yeah, I've done that too....

Or worse, I can't find where I stuck it, rewrote it, and then found it. That's really irritating!
