I did the last shopping before T-day today (actually, I do have 1 quick stop I must make tomorrow), and the plan for now is not to step foot in any store until next Monday if possible.
So this morning, I hit the health food store, Office Depot (to recycle a couple of cartridges), Petsmart (for senior dog vites) and Target (for foil and folders). Found binder clips in white with a blue floral pattern on them, and clear folders to hold my pics in a binder. I'm seriously geeky about office supplies.
Why the 'no stores' stance? Do I not want to do my part to help the economy?
No, it's more a case that I hate the crowds. And having been a department store buyer, I know very well that those special prices aren't all that impressive unless you're willing to get up at 4AM...which I'm not.
So instead, I intend to spend the week-end ignoring football, working on some outlines, and primping D2 for it's first journey to visit an editor. Perhaps I'll shop on the internet a bit, maybe stop by Little Wally for milk or cokes....but otherwise I'm staying in.
