Tired of being tired
Aug. 27th, 2008 01:35 pmWent 'jogging' this morning, but did much more walking than jogging, and little running. Every time I upped the tempo, my chest decided that I still had phlegm, and I had to stop to cough....so I'm officially not over this nasty crud.
OTOH, the new shoes did excessively well. The guy in California talked me into a different brand (as the style I've worn for years is being discontinued), and also a 'wide' width. Since he's the expert, I gave in. The toe-box feels overly-spacious, so I wore fluffy socks this time, and that worked better. My heel did extremely well, though, and isn't even aching yet. The soles also had that 'new shoe crepe-y-ness' to them...which won't take long to destroy.
I need to re-outline the end of my WIP, since I'm about 350 pages in and the outline I started with is totally wrecked. Reviewed another short story last night, looked down for too long and ended up with a splitting headache.
Right at 350 days for one of my submissions. The venue claims it's getting caught up, but I saw a 582-day rejection posted for them on Duotrope the other day, so I'm not expecting miracles there.
Also, today is the one-year anniversary of a story that's been sent up to second base for another venue. (310 days since being sent up, but 365 days total).
