Conestoga..
Jul. 9th, 2008 09:41 amI got my e-mail today that listed what I would be doing at Conestoga. The most excellent organizer (Elspeth Bloodgood) managed to put me on the exact panels I asked for, scheduled the BU RFR at a time when it didn't conflict with the panels (Saturday at noon) and I loved my schedule....
Except for this:
Sat 03:00 PM--2.0 Panels--Illustrators Master Class
Yes, the two hour Illustrators Master Class panel.
Panicked, I e-mailed her back and explained that I might not be a good choice for a two hour illustration panel since....well, I don't illustrate.. OK, once I did illustrate a couple of newsletters for the SCA in Las Cruces, but that was high school. I painted some signs and the bandstands in college. That's about it.
The coordinator e-mailed me back to re-assure me. Yes, I am attending that panel because....the artists there are supposed to illustrate my WOTF story while I read it. How cool is that?
Evidently they do this every year, but because I hadn't been to Conestoga before, I didn't know about it (hence the moment of sheer panic). And I'm soooo glad that I don't have to draw anything.
