Not a happy story...
Mar. 28th, 2008 09:51 amSo, my first reader (AKA
displacedtexan) got back to me this morning on the first 3 dragon stories (1, 2, and 2.5)
He says "the third one is sad."
OK, I don't write chirpy, happy stories for the most part, but the third one is indeed a rather sad story. I did tell you this involved a suicide. I did warn people.
But he thought it was a good, well-composed story....even if sad.
So when I get this one out, I have to send it to a non-action oriented, sad story accepting venue. (Also, a child dies in the process of this story, although it is never shown or even explicitly said...which probably knocks out a few more markets).
I have primary venues picked out for most of these six stories, this is the only one I'm unsure of.
ETA: Also, the darn thing has no title yet.
