The one-kidney dog is eating dirt...
Nov. 20th, 2007 01:27 pm...and then throwing up. This has evidently been going on since we left for WFC, but it's getting darn annoying. (Our dog-sitters said that she had developed 'an attitude'.)
Most experts say that dirt-eating is a behavioral problem, not a physiological one. She's also started leaving things around the house--we call them 'protest poops'. In the past, she's done this sort of thing when she's gotten annoyed with us (read that as, 'when we leave town') and it usually only lasts for one or two days. Then she's back to her normal well-behaved self.
Not this time. The Thanksgiving week-end travel is not going to improve the situation, I think. I foresee a vet visit early next week....and doggie anti-depressants or some such craziness to follow.
::sigh::
