Deep Thoughts about SF Fashion....

To preface this, I must inform you that I spent years in the Fashion Industry as a buyer for men's clothing. I know how to tie the Four-in-Hand, the Windsor, the Half-Windsor, the Shelby, and even a bow-tie. (Just so you know I'm serious, and semi-qualified to comment.)

displaced_texan and I have started watching UFO, a series started in 1969 (about) which places it slightly post Star Trek, and a few years pre-Star Wars.
What were those costume designers in the sixties thinking?

And, I must add, that I'm grateful for her sake that Moira Cameron isn't being required to wear a little mini-dress version of the Beefeater costume.

Off to F&SF

Mailed a story off today to F&SF. I have this feeling that JJA will read it and say "I'm never reading anything of hers again". It doesn't fit them at all. It's sort of a womanly story where the conflict is primarily internal---with a distinctly non-dystopic ending.

Then again, we're told not to make those decisions for the editors...

Oh, well, they're fast.
