Sprinkling fairy dust
Aug. 29th, 2007 05:40 pmWorked today on that re-write of "Shared Dreams". I managed to drop a couple of plot points and restructure it a bit, cutting a thousand words. I'll print it out and re-re-write it tomorrow to see how the flow goes and to make sure the story arcs work out better. So far, I think it'll be tighter.
I've cut the coroner out of the story. I hoping that will a) de-convolute the plot a bit, and b) eliminate some name confusion (as he was married to the victim, and they both had the same surname). On the other hand, I'm hoping it doesn't lower the emotional impact of the story. ::sigh::
Anyway, I've got a few days to think about it. I plan to have it done by Monday.
Still working on The Devil in the Details. Completed FD of Ch 1-2. (which in the outline was planned as one chapter, but I decided to go with shorter chapter lengths, in order to make it flow faster.) Will try to get 3 done tonight, and edge into 4.
