ROUGH draft
May. 31st, 2007 09:31 amI got the rough draft for the April story (#1) done, and I need to let it sit for a bit. It came in above 10K, which is bigger than I wanted (9k), and I really still have to work in more setting information, and possibly some backstory. So now it needs to 'proof'. Oops, too many cooking shows.
April #2 is still a tricky one, with some stuff in the middle that I'm trying to ease out by changing dates. I think I can fix it today, and then stick it in the proofing oven with the other. May is still a sketch, so I'm going to try to finish June first. If I can get June and May both done in the next week, then I'll feel like I'm back on track. Whew!
I haven't heard anything about the story I have up on Baen's. Don't know exactly what that means. (The underlying time table eludes me, there).
Must go jogging before it gets hot....
