England? Huh?
Nov. 17th, 2006 05:21 pmWell, today I got my first 2007 Oklahoma Writers Federation Membership from out of the country. England. Yep, England.
OK, This is a little extreme folks! Why on earth would someone in England want to join a writers federation in Oklahoma? Given, we have members in Hawaii, New York, Arizona, Ohio, and Iowa. We have affiliate clubs in Texas, Arkansas, and Kansas. But England? Truth is stranger than fiction.
Got the dratted revision of DD done. I have a few questions to fix, things that popped up on Baen's Bar, etc. Still I'm calling it done for now and I'm working on the sequel. I've already written about 300 pages of it, but I need to re-work the outline (due to a change) and get the rest pounded out.
SOTF is meant to cover 5 months, where DD covered 10 days, but I think it will be much easier to pound out because there are a few time periods where nothing happens, and therefore they can be skipped. This story only covers about four main events, plus a final resolution.
I started work on the revision of the first 300 this morning and am on page 63. I don't think I can get away with calling that 16K words for the day, though....
