Lack of Vampires
Oct. 30th, 2006 07:11 pmSo I made
dream_wind's garlic soup tonight. It was tasty and not too tough, save for the moment where the top popped off the blender and garlic soup shot all over the room, including onto my shirt. Lovely.
I got a full-page e-mail from someone for whom I critted last week, where she defended the items I had questions about in her story. I don't really understand why.
I can see doing it with my writing group. We're in constant 2-way communication with each other, so it's a natural action. Critters, OTOH, is pretty much one way. I've never had this happen before. I don't know why someone would bother to defend their story to me. I'm not an editor, and they're not going to sell it to me. She did say she would fix all those things, but...why tell me her plans? Anyway, I have to wonder if she's done the same for everyone who critiqued her story.
(Admittedly, I have a couple of times written a note to one of my critiquers, but only if they asked me a specific question. Wait...save for MG and JK, but we have Critters-Plus relationships.)
::scratching head:: How very odd.
