Ditto on the van scheduling. I took the 4:30am van from the hotel -- Joni had me originally scheduled for the 6:45am van, for a flight which started boarding at 7:35 and left at 8:15am. No way would I've made it through Security in that time frame.
It's not a question of Panic, it's a matter of predicting poor performance -- and being spot on! (grin)
