I think I broke my heel...

...spur. Which would be a good thing.
I've had this problem since last October with the horribly aching heel. Part of it is the plantar fasciitis, but a lot of the pain occurs in an unrelated spot on the inside of my heel.
Thursday I went jogging and came home noting that my heel hurt worse than usual. Friday, though, the expected gimpiness was much less. Monday, it was almost gone (compared to normal). Today I went jogging and could actually run on that side of my foot (instead of rolling on the outside.)
I ran my first half-mile stretch outside the gym in a long time....even the uphill part. I admit, I stopped at one point to catch my breath because it's been a while, but I was able to roll through my stride pretty normally without much pain. Very pleasant change.
It still hurts some, but not anywhere near what it did before. All of which makes me suspect that I might have pounded that little spur of bone loose. That can only be seen as an improvement.
Anyhow, I did have to pause because a lizard ran across the road in front of me. Later a second lizard (a lovely aqua-colored skink) did the same. This is my first interaction with the park's lizard-folk this year. Evidently it's now too hot for the snakes to come out, so they're sending their minions to communicate with me.
Suddenly shot up to page 247 on the WIP. (Got to stick in a 50-page pre-written section). Nearly 50K now. Will have to cut a lot in the revision. Wanting to stop at 100K.
