Candle Fetish/Fencon

So, this year I decided that I'm going to buy candles only from that brand I love best (Tyler Candles) and not fritter away funds on inexpensive candles. So today in the mail, I got a trio of candles: their excellent Mulled Cider, the always favored Patchouli (which I've already burned, and declare lovely), and Envay a new scent that contains sandalwood and bergamot (yes, very men's perfume. I do like it.)

I have added Cowboy and Snickerdoodle to my wish list, because I don't know how you could go wrong with either. I keep the jars to store office supplies in, and it's marvelous to get a sniff of mulled cider when I grab out a paperclip.

I got my Fencon WW assignment, and I'm in the first group of victims Thursday night. Thank Goodness is all I can say! I don't weather cons all that well, and fear that I wouldn't make a good impression (or be civil) if I have to wait until Sunday's session. What a relief!

I'm not a candle person, really. They're so messy! Sometimes they smell all right, but--although, now that I say this, I've only ever bought the cheapest ones, so I bet that has a lot to do with it. I'll look for Tyler and see if it really is different :-). I'm a candle skeptic, I guess.

FenCon looks like it's going to be a blast, and the goh is Connie Willis, wow, that's very cool :) Yes, I think it's better to get your WW assignment over early, it's so much more comfortable! You'll do fine :)

Tyler candles are in jars, so there's not really any mess involved. They are mostly soy oil (which is better eco-wise) with non-lead wicks, so they aren't as dangerous (lead-poisoning wise).

Soy candles, depending on how much oil there is in them, can be very strong. That's why I like this brand. It's potent. Yep!

I sent my date information directly to Michael rahter than posting it on the Yahoo. The person who's scheduling evidently get that information from him (not the first lapse that's happened) so she contacted me directly.

I'm in with the "Traditional Fantasy" authors, evidently.

Crap! Was there some kind of date-thing we were supposed to post to the damn yahoo group? I've been deleting most of the messages from the group...

So what were we supposed to do? Where were we supposed to post it? Just a message to the group?

Remember back when Michael e-mailed us to asked what sessions we could attend...we were supposed to let him know which dates were good and which weren't. I posted directly back to him, not the Yahoo group.

Be calm, we have almost a month still to go.

He was asking about the e-mail that requested for us to send the dates we would be available to meet with Toni. (It was at the bottom of the e-mail, and he confessed to not reading that far down) However, since the list is out, I think it's a moot point. ;o)
