Mulching is mostly done now for the spring.

Worked more on that dratted chapter I'm inserting in DitD last night, an indecent number of hours spent going over and over the same eleven pages....over and over....and over. It turns out to be a pivotal scene so it's important, but generally this kind are easy for me to write, so I don't know why this particular iteration has me bumfuzzled.

Errands, perhaps walk the dog later, move on to next chapter. Must rig up a way to keep Agrilawn away from my new dichondra area. Can do.

Boring, sort of, yes?

Mom raked out the morning glories. Two women in a garden or kitchen means war. So, since she moved in with me, due to her Alzheimer's, I let her have those territories:o) They were mine. Now they're her flowers. It's unusually warm here for March.

Just spent 477 on brakes, oil change, tires and inspection but was all necessary.

I finished page 70 through 84 last night. One chapter of the 300 plus page story. I'm going to have to cut a chapter or so at some point. It's probably getting too long. I hope I don't get stuck on the pivitol scenes:o) Already done. Just adding some layers and correcting really old chapters. It's omniscient so I may try to get in their heads more. Maybe. No one seems to like omni these days.

I'm going to try recording it too. Thanks, Kara.

Hey, I hope recording does good things for you, Isle :). Not in a chirpy, out-there voice, but talk in a--not exactly a drone, but more in that range. Like you really are talking to yourself. It makes the words seem more unvarnished, I guess.

I know what you mean, re vehicle etc.s--necessary but hard! Time-wise, money-wise, but it's nice to have a secure vehicle again.

Good luck on your rewrites.

Your mom's denial re her Alzheimer's must be so hard on you. I watched my mom and aunt take care of her extremely elderly father. He passed away last year, but they really went through it. I helped where, when, and how I could, but it was hard on everyone, and poor old guy, you know?

j. I hope it's okay to invade your blog like this! I'm going to friend you, too, isleburroughs--I guess this is a 'tween post :D

I'm new on lj, Kara. So Jeannette will probably forgive us for slightly usurping her space this time.

I missed your post here. You must have posted at the same time I did. Mom's short-term memory is no good but she's really wonderful to have around the house. She proudly showed me how she raked the whole side yard today. She keeps trying to prove how useful she is. I keep telling her to take it easy and that we can hire a landscaper. The outdoors work keeps her happy and healthy though.

Thanks for friending me. I'll try that recording thing soon.
