Oh, dear...
Feb. 13th, 2009 07:58 amA cedar waxwing hit one of our windows last night. It managed to fly up into one of the yaupon hollies(sp?) when I tried to pick it up (yes, I wore gloves), but hasn't moved since. I've contacted one of the local rescue places for advice. I hope they have some....
ETA: I tried to capture it to take it to the shelter, but it flew a bit farther away....out of my reach. I'll take that as a 'leave me alone' sign, cross my fingers, and back off....
I promised a picture of the Mighty Six, but that's hard to do. They refuse to stand still for some reason.
displacedtexan snapped these shots for me:

All six are in this shot, although the last is hiding back on the porch, next to the pot. (Kind of like "Where's Waldo?")

I like the insane beard on the dog on the right. ;o)
Their names are all girly names, like Penelope, Phoebe, Cate....(I can't remember them all).
