11th Anniversary

Spent the morning out, ate breakfast at 501 Cafe and then stopped at the farmer's market. Purple asparagus. Ran into one of the libriarians from my old school and we chatted for quite a while about all the myriad changes the new principal has made. (Library staff and Math department seem fairly intact, but some other areas were decimated).
Worked a bit in the yard, transplanted irises. Planted agastache and more pentas (purchased at the farmer's market). Serious black-spot going on in the roses due to the excessive rain we've been getting. I'm going to have to clear out all the mulch and start over back there.
Last night I got my nerve together and sent a polite query to the editor holding the second re-write of the December story--just to ask if he GOT it. (I haven't heard anything for three weeks). No reply. I'm hoping that he's at Wiscon enjoying himself, and that's why he hasn't responded.
Going to Namaste for dinner, then plan to watch the last two episodes of Firefly followed by Serenity. We're still torn between watching Earth 2 after this, or starting with Babylon 5 (We own all five seasons plus all the movies.)
