Refusal--The Bear Girl
Oct. 11th, 2006 02:40 pmJust got a two week refusal from Clarkesworld magazine, very kind and polite (from
nihilistic_kid, I believe). He pointed out what he thought the weaknesses were, which I hope to use to improve the next trial for that baby.
One of the most interesting points he made was that he didn't know the heroine's species. OOPS! ::shuddering in embarrassment:: It simply never occurred to me that one wouldn't assume she was human....despite the fact that I titled the thing The BEAR Girl. What was I thinking? Well, that's certainly something to improve in the future!
I'm up on Critters....um, TODAY, I think....but I don't know if Aburt is running behind. Hope to get a lot of good input for this.
