Not me....

I am so not doing the photo meme. No web-cam, cell phone's downstairs, and the real camera? In the husband's office.

Both too far to walk.

I am both lazy, and anti-photo.

I don't want you people stealing my soul....

But...isn't that you on one of the James Gunn workshop photos? Thousands of people aready have little jars on their stolen souls shelf labelled "J. Cheney".

[identity profile] j-cheney.livejournal.com 2008-09-18 06:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, no....not that picture....

That's about the MOST unattractive pose for a large woman to assume....yeesh!

As for the jars, I go and steal them back at night....haven't you ever wondered?

[identity profile] orogeny.livejournal.com 2008-09-18 03:01 pm (UTC)(link)
I actually got out the camera and took some pictures and looked at them and thought, "Holy hell, you're unbelievably unphotogenic."

I like a good meme, but long after the meme is dead, that picture would remain clutched in the hairy fists of the Intertubes. So I passed!

[identity profile] j-cheney.livejournal.com 2008-09-18 06:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, I've pretty much stopped doing memes....I don't have the energy anymore....

Although, I'm surpised, because I would have thought you would be photogenic. Then again, I suspect very few of us are happy with how film makes us look. ;o)

You have a soul?

Just Kidding! :-D

[identity profile] j-cheney.livejournal.com 2008-09-18 06:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, no you did not! :oP

[identity profile] asakiyume.livejournal.com 2008-09-18 03:45 pm (UTC)(link)
This meme is the most popular one I've ever seen. Not me, no way.

*high fives*

Uh, isn't it about 30 feet from your desk to mine?

[identity profile] j-cheney.livejournal.com 2008-09-18 07:57 pm (UTC)(link)
good answer....

[identity profile] tchernabyelo.livejournal.com 2008-09-18 04:22 pm (UTC)(link)
I know how you feel. However, when I actually have access to a camera, I might actually do this meme; to my knowledge, there are only a handful of people on my flist who know me IRL and know anything about whatI look like. Time to scare the rest...

[identity profile] j-cheney.livejournal.com 2008-09-18 06:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, no! Not that! Put the camera away!

Wouldn't you rather just keep us in suspense?

[identity profile] alaneer.livejournal.com 2008-09-18 04:34 pm (UTC)(link)
You're not lazy; you run for fun.

I'm not doing it because I don't know how to upload the phone pic, and the camera is hiding somewhere.

[identity profile] j-cheney.livejournal.com 2008-09-18 06:14 pm (UTC)(link)
I've been there, too....

(My husband gives me instructions, but he always seems to do things on the computer the most complicated way possible, so I almost always immediately forget his instructions.)

[identity profile] displacedtexan.livejournal.com 2008-09-18 07:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Huh? So that's why I'm always having to do this!

[identity profile] j-cheney.livejournal.com 2008-09-18 07:56 pm (UTC)(link)
;o)

[identity profile] alaneer.livejournal.com 2008-09-18 04:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, and as to stealing your soul? Don't you put it into your stories? Bits of it already float out there.

[identity profile] j-cheney.livejournal.com 2008-09-18 06:07 pm (UTC)(link)
NO! AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHhhhhhhhh....

::runs away::

[identity profile] snickelish.livejournal.com 2008-09-18 05:24 pm (UTC)(link)
It's not stealing your soul if you take the picture yourself, is it?

[identity profile] j-cheney.livejournal.com 2008-09-18 06:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmmmm....I'll have to think about that one...

(That's as complicated as the fly-souls problem (what happens to fly souls when you kill them))

[identity profile] snickelish.livejournal.com 2008-09-18 06:08 pm (UTC)(link)
I had not, until this very moment, realized that that was a problem.

[identity profile] j-cheney.livejournal.com 2008-09-18 06:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Who was I discussing that with.....? Can't recall.

We were wondering what would happen to the souls of flies when you squish them, and my contention was that they went up your nose, and there becasme part of your soul. Then again, the corrolary to that is that when you sneeze, part of your soul probably goes back out that way, ending up on the salad-guard of life....

I don't want you people stealing my soul

heh, I used to tell my friends that all the time when we'd go clubbing and stuff, and so all they did was to sneak up on me and pic me when I wasn't looking. oof!

[identity profile] j-cheney.livejournal.com 2008-09-18 06:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, it never seems to work, does it....

[identity profile] david-de-beer.livejournal.com 2008-09-18 06:37 pm (UTC)(link)
it does on the internet. no one can sneak up on you and take pictures. physically impossible

[identity profile] j-cheney.livejournal.com 2008-09-18 06:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Actually, I think that's not true....

There have been cases when hackers have taken over computers with built in cameras and taken photos/films of the owners....

So, no....you're never safe.

[identity profile] dr-phil-physics.livejournal.com 2008-09-18 06:38 pm (UTC)(link)
The point of having a camera is for it to sit in the bag you carry back and forth to work every day. Using it to post silly meme pictures -- why that would involve getting it out. Uh, what was the point again? (grin)

[identity profile] j-cheney.livejournal.com 2008-09-18 06:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Exactly....

[identity profile] melissajm.livejournal.com 2008-09-18 09:39 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm not doing it either. That would be cruel to my friends.

[identity profile] j-cheney.livejournal.com 2008-09-18 09:42 pm (UTC)(link)
I know the feeling...
