Plot Bunny/ Clothing Angst...

I've gone ahead and written several K that are off-track, pinning down a plot bunny that hopped out from under a leaf of my WIP a few days ago. Yes, it's taken me away from the WIP, but I wanted to get it down before I forgot it.

My brain seems to work that way. I don't have much trouble switching between works, although I know some people do. They have to get 'into' a specific story and stay in it till it's done.

I'm leaning toward the black jacket, perhaps a corset (which I would consider an Investment, making it permissable to spend that kind of money), and a long black skirt--which I can sew myself, provided I can find fabric I like.

The jacket has red embroidery, with a very fine black soutache trim. It's the kind of piece that does well against a monochromatic backdrop.

That’s interesting what you said about writers switching from one story to another. I tend to forge ahead on what I’m working on, afraid if I don’t it’ll never get finished. I don’t think it’s really a problem working on one story and then another though. Some writers tend to stick with the same voice/style from story to story. I try to make the style a bit (or a lot) different for each story. I guess the danger would be if one were working on two stories at a time that the voice of one story might creep into the other. Never really thought about much it till now. Gee, I think I might try it just to see if I can "wear two jackets" at once. Thanks for the idea. Unless I fail, of course. ;)

I've been thinking a that I might go with a black skirt, but have a detachable red train....It'll just be difficult to match the shades of red.
