Randomness

Watched CSI last night, at [livejournal.com profile] displacedtexan's insistance. Oh, so very painfully geeky.

I've started reading a novel, the first long fiction I've touched in well over a month, [livejournal.com profile] swan_tower's Midnight Never Come, which is off to a promising start.

I find that I'm usually well-disposed toward characters named Michael....so make a note, folks! Don't name your villians that. Messes with my mind.

Went over the newly written chapters last night (50 pages or so). Not as 'white room' as I feared (except for the scene that takes place in a root cellar wiith its door closed). That would be a 'black room' scene instead, I suppose (no cryptography involved).

Must go see my banker. Then some damp garage sales. Then work.

Unless we want you to trust Evil Michael at first...

Gotta watch out for those guys. ;>

I'm sorry, if Jim Butcher makes Michael go evil, we might as well all hang it up. Won't be any good left in the world, then....

No one would name a villain Michael.

Garage sales on a Friday?

Best - CSI - ever!

Very few, actually, due to the impending rain. But some people start here on Thursday....so Friday's not odd.

Damp garages, on sale!

Sadly, the dampness overshadows all, and most are holding off until tomorrow when the garages will be dry. Who wants that?

(I didn't buy any this morning).

I'll be interested to hear how you like MNC. I really liked all the bits with Queen Bess, and was underwhelmed by all the stuff with the fairies. I think I might have been wanting to read a different book than she intended to write, though.

I'm withholding judgment. I'm more likely to e-mail you my thoughts, as I'm not big on posting fiction reveiws ;o)

Sounds good. :)
