Garden thoughts...

I'll be mostly off-line again this week-end, but we've got snow here, which keeps me out of the garden.

Accuweather is predicting a low of 27 tonight, which is not a terrible freeze, and probably not a serious threat to anything in the garden except the Amaryllis plants that have already sent up straps. I'm going to trust that all my geraniums (being the hardy varieties, not those silly zonal things which are actually pelargoniums despite being commonly called geraniums) will prove hardy enough to make it through this.

Accuweather shows up getting back up to 58 degrees tomorrow, which will take care of any lingering snow.

My bluebeards have been shipped, which will fill out some holes in the garden. I hope Fedex is timely.

My bluebeards have been shipped,

Not having a green thumb, my first thought was you'd written another cool pirate story I didn't know about. But the pirate's name was Blackbeard, Bluebeard was the fairytale nobleman with the unfortunte wives. ;o)

Stay warm tonight!

I just peeked outside; it's still dark as it's just a little after 6 AM, and we have snow, too! It won't stay long, this time of year, either, but it's so pretty while it's here. I love snow. Ice I could do without, but snow is great.

Do you know of a good site that talks about lawns and gardens and flowers and how to take care of things without trying to sell you everything and driving you insane with too much information?

I think that what I'd really like is something that says, "Kara, for you, with your soil and house and location, here are three choices for how to make your yard look prettiest, choose one...Okay, that will be nice, now, it's almost April, so what you need to do is...and so on :D

Is that asking too much!?

Is your cute little bunny yard ornament icon from your garden? :)
