j_cheney: (Plot Bunny)

I am the plot bunny's sockpuppet...

Sometimes I get to the point where I'm a bit stuck, rather like the plot bunny is meandering around through my files aimlessly. I'm still writing. (I always write.) In the last couple of days, I've written 6K on a story....that has no plot. Yep, no plot. I'm just working on a sub-plot. ::sighs::

The re-write for DitD still waits, but I've been putting it off because it's such a big task. 100K as opposed to 10-20K. I could tackle the Blitz story (6K, I think), as I have my timeline done, but the plot hasn't completely unfolded in my mind yet. (I don't even have characters yet, just the concept.) Drat!

So I putter around, following the bunny from one locale to another, not actually finishing anything this week.

I'm thinking about giving the bunny a swift kick in his fluffy white tail.

...not actually finishing anything this week.

If you feel a bit aimless, why not bite the bullet and tackle the rewrite? Maybe focusing on that for a while will let your subconscious work out the other things?

6000 words of aimless writing isn't useless -- it's still writing. And maybe you'll have a use for it later. Damned plot bunnies.

the plot bunny is meandering around through my files aimlessly....

I read this twice trying to parse the mental image of a rabbit hopping through a cloud of tiny flies.

And then I was all like, "ohhhh, files."

You're not the only one. I think they're getting active with spring around the corner.

I just watched the Onion News Network Sony POS video that's going around. And in the middle of the F-bomb Palooza, the guy dropped the words "Time Vampire" and of went the plot bunnies.

Damn plot bunnies.

Dang! Time Vampires! I wanted that!

We can start a new trend. There's room in this world for more than one Time Vampire.

I think your bunny has found his way over here. You can have him back, he's wreaking havoc in my story.

Mwahahahaha!
