NOM NOM NOM!

Lookee what I found at Target today!

It isn't actually the taste of these cookies that makes them so great...it's the cache of eating something uniquely Australian. And if you don't know about the coffee method, here it is:

1) Nibble off each end of the cookie
2) Use the cookie like a straw to sip coffee though
3) Be prepared for the cookie to disintegrate into a mass of gooey mocha goodness

(So much for me being profound today.)

I had an actual, honest-to-goodness Australian show me the proper way to eat a Tim Tam. It was tasty good.

The proper name for the coffee technique is the Tim Tam Slam :-)

That's awesome that you can get those overseas. It's almost an icon here in Oz-land, and they've introduced some bizarre flavours over the years. They even had Kahlua Tim Tams at one point, it's much like how you guys have a gazillion different flavours for Coca-Cola while we get maybe two :-)

We've been buying them through an internet company called "About Austrialia" but the results have been spotty, sometime they're a bit old. I've definitely seen some bizarre variation s on offer there. ;o)

Here it looks like only chocolate creme and caramel. Very limited. Perhpas they'll catch on here and the company will go hog-wild!

I'm glad to know the name now. The Tim-Tam Slam. Makes me happy just hearing it.

Only this year did I experience my first Tim Tam and I am hooked. I'm now tempted to go to Target to see if they carry them here, too.

Good luck!

I don't actually like Tim Tams. Gimme Shortbread Creams or Kingstons any day.

Mmmm... Kingstons... mmmm.... Kingstons....

Mmmm....shortbread creams....

Not everyone's a chocolate person. And I don't believe TimTams are as good with tea, so if you're not a coffee drinker, I can see why they might not be in your stocking this year. ;o)

Something about Pepperidge Farms putting out Tim Tams seems wrong to me. But I will probably try them out.

We'll have to see if it flies....or dies.
