We SWEPT women's saber! Zagunis is my hero!

This will probably not make prime-time viewing, as saber happens so fast that it doesn't really make good TV unless you actually know what you're looking at. But it makes me feel all glowy inside!

Ack!

displacedtexan broke his big toe this morning. It's currently turning an unattractive shade of blue-green as he rests (under the influence of pain-meds).

After getting it x-rayed, we learned that the bone is pretty much broken all the way across, but the break is not out of alignment or anything like that, so the best thing to do for now is to not bend to foot. Fortunately, I still had a broken-toe-shoe that is not only unisex, but rockingly stylish....

So in the morning we'll be off to California, hobbling through the airports.
