I tried making shortbread last night, substituting almond flour for regular flour.

Uh, this doesn't work. Don't try it at home.

Dog surgery...

The beast has not improved markedly from last Thursday, so we took her in today for another round of tests. Yep, that kindey stone she's had forever is passing now. Unfortunately, it's not passing successfully, which means opening up the dog and removing it manually. Therefore, she's off to the surgeon's in the morning.
