Goal One completed...

Well, I finished Goal 1 last night and posted the story on Baen's 'round 11:15. Still wide awake, so I kept working past midnight. It feels good to write again.

I cooked breakfast, finished the laundry, did the dishes, took a shower. I'll need to run some errands in a while, but then I plan on working some more, and possibly trying to read some of the slush. (The yard can wait until the painters are gone.)

I got one nice review on Baen's already this morning which said (slight paraphrase) "I liked the story enough to finish reading it, hope you sell it somewhere." I have always doubted that this is a Baens-y story. Where it would sell (at 7K), I have NO idea, but we'll just have to see.

Neck issues

Those who know me know I can't look down.

I currently have the Lincoln Library of Essential Information (vols 1 and 2) supporting my monitor screen. I got rid of the Colin Powell book that sat on top of those, so now I'm in search of the perfect books that will raise my screen to exactly the proper height.

Right now I'm trying out Range Development and Improvements (2nd edition) and Soil Conservation by Stallings.

It's sad when you go to a used book store to search for a specific thickness of book.
