The conference is OVER!
I'm glad it's over. I have to finish out the billing, etc, for it and train the new treasurer, but I'm hoping to have every bit of that job out of my life within a month.
Worked on a second re-write during the conference (one of those short periods when I could steal away from the registration desk). I originally wrote the story intending to channel Richard Dana (Two Years After the Mast). The editor wants me to channel "Poe". I had no access to any Poe....although I did find some on-line and discovered that I should have worked in the words gibbering, hideous, and phantasm somewhere.... I used blood and horrific and beating....dripping....
Still have my fingers crossed! Think good thoughts, folks! Please!
