Con tickets

I have now purchased tickets for: AggieCon, ArmadilloCon, FenCon and World Fantasy Con---so I'm almost committed for all four. The FenCon people have still not found my mailed entry, so I payed again by Paypal. No telling what happened there, but the Workshop Organizer was extremely nice about it and saved me a spot.

AggieCon is this week. It will be nice to meet some of the LJers face to face. ;o)

Mystery solved...

I sent a manuscript submission to a publisher some time ago (12/15/05). 3 chapters, synopsis, yadda, yadda, yadda...

I didn't hear anything, so I sent a query about it 6/15/06, and then a second query 8/15/06. I never heard anything, so I figured they didn't have it any longer and moved on.

Today in the mail I get a SASE and think "Oh, no, rejection! Wait...I don't have any hard submissions out right now." Hmmmm...

I open it up and it's a notice from that publisher saying that they can't answer query letters any longer.... ;o)

Now I know.
