Ah ha, so you ended up with the bracelet! I knew it was going to Oklahoma, but I didn't know where.
The story in a nutshell, and Rhonda can add more details later is this: I was in Chicago the week before FenCon (flew to DFW from Chicago, in fact) for work. I went out to Chicago a few days early to see my beloved St. Nick (Cave and the Bad Boys Seeds) in concert Sunday and Monday nights. At the Sunday concert, I was talking to a couple from Memphis, both kind of short, but the woman was really petite. She had wandered off and them came back to talk to me. At one point she grabbed my left wrist and slapped the bracelet on it. She said it was too big for her and kept sliding on her arm. She then wandered off and I didn't see her again the rest of the show.
So I told the story in my LJ and Rhonda, being the writer chick that she is, decided this was a good plot bunny.
And I'll let her tell it from there. But I am amused at how the bracelet is making its way back north again, and will be curious to follow its further adventures.
