Tux/Cottonwoods/DitD

Bought [livejournal.com profile] displacedtexan a tux today. Jos. A. Banks was having their annual 50%-off-everything sale, plus we had some coupons for an additional 25$ off each $100 spent. We got a good deal, which just makes my frugal little heart glow!

The cottonwoods are cottoning, making the whole town look like the set of Legend. (As I am about the only person in the world who's seen that one, you can just smile and nod.)

Working more on Ditd today. Will send it to my first reader this weekend and see where he thinks I need to include more info. (My personal weakness).

One of Tom Cruise's first...

Of course I've seen Legend. What group of people do you think you're talking to here?

Yes really, Fantasy writers and we haven't seen legend? Good grief! Wonderfully done unicorns as well if I remember correctly.

I love the film, in spite of the fact that Tom Cruise stars in it. I think Tim Curry did an excellent job as Darkness.

I'm also glad I was able to get the Euro version on dvd. I like that one better than the American version.

I <3 Legend. One of my favorite bits of escapism!

Heh. I remember renting Legend, but the tape was so full of snow static we couldn't watch it.

I miss cottoning cottonwoods.

"You know the Dark Lord, he don't like to wait."

Classic!

I've seen Legend! One of the best fantasy movies of all time (I think). Unfortunately, when I watched it on DVD last time it was the director's cut. HORRIBLE! Go with the original!

Heh - who HASN'T seen it, if only to have a giggle at Tom Cruise's crooked teeth :) A pretty movie though...
