ETA: And just to prove out the "What have you done for me lately?" mystique of writing, I got a rejection in the mail today from Dreams and Visions "I found this story to be a bit slow moving, but I would appreciate the chance to view more of your work." Rejectomancy rules require that I add that this was handwritten, which automatically makes it a better rejection....

Perhaps you could ask them to ship you in a day early? It's a really long batch of flights!

Great idea. Maybe even a week early . Hmmm.... I have a very dear friend in the US I haven't seen for 15 years that I'd love to catch up with too. I wonder if that would be a goer.

Can't hurt to ask....I'd say, why not? As long as you're willing to foot the interim housing bill, there really shouldn't make any difference to them, I would think...
