Oh, Yay!
My Retinitis Pigmentosa story at Baen's is going to the second level!
OK, THIS IS NOT A SALE, but it's a chance at one, for which I'm very grateful. Thanks to all the people and editors who suggested edits along the line and to![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
mmerriam who answered some strange RP questions for me. Now it goes into a slightly smaller pond with the hand-picked fish--some large fish and some small.
Also, congratulations to Simon Horvat and Nick Wolven, who got thrown into the much smaller (and therefore better chances)"Introducing" pond. Good luck GuYS!
ETA: The Title of the story is actually "Afterimage" (although I really wanted to use "Peristence of Vision"), Retinitis Pigmentosa is a degenerative disease of the retinas which usually leads to blindness, and the story concerns a cop with implants who is trying to solve a crime, but whose implants die part way through the investigation. This is one of several types of implants being considered for RP patients...as you can see, it's actually a little receiver/comp implanted inside the eyeball. Cool concept.
